Hello March!!

March 1st always brings a sense of renewal and rebirth. Marking the beginning of meteorological spring, the shift in seasons brings with it a sense of optimism as we bid farewell to winter. Flowers begin to bloom, trees start to bud, and the countryside is slowly transformed into a vibrant tapestry of colour.

Spring is the perfect time to start those changes that you’ve been thinking about since the New Year. Perhaps your goal is to get fitter or learn a new hobby. Or it might be simply to get out and about more and meet new people. We have some fabulous ways to get fit and healthy at Painters Forstal Community Hall so why not come along and join in?

If you’re looking for stimulating exercise try out the Boxercise class on Thursday evenings or Funky 5Rhythms® dancing every other Friday evening? More relaxed exercise classes include Pilates on Tuesdays and Yoga on Wednesday evening. We also have the lovely mindfulness class on Wednesdays that incorporates Qigong, a traditional Chinese practice that involves coordination of breath and movement for the purpose of strengthening and stretching the body and improving coordination and balance.

The first Wednesday of the month has the Fibre and Fleece sewing group. This is a wonderful opportunity to bring along any sewing or craft project you would like to work on whilst meeting like-minded creative people. No experience necessary, lots of advice on hand.

And, of course, every Tuesday afternoon between 1 and 3pm we have our regular Communi-Tea & Biscuits, where you can just come along and relax with good company and watch spring unfurl in the Kentish countryside, no exercise clothes required.

Simply visit our events page for further details and how to book.

Happy March everyone!!
